Samira,

It is you who is blessed.

I sit in the lap of luxury, in a nation where religious diversity is celebrated, and when I read these reports on Iran Press Watch, it just saddens me deeply, but hearing your words has humbled me, chastened me, sobered me beyond belief.

I actually have wept in reading your responses as I realize what an important role Iran Pres Watch is playing, what you and other Bahais are doing.

The least I can do is to pray, but I will also pray for all Iranians, of all faiths, including those who may act in ways that I feel are inappropriate. They are people, too.

It seems strange to be writing comments that can be seen in Iran from my home in the Redwood Empire in the USA, where I have complete freedom, while in Iran, the repository of so many wonderful things dating back to Cyrus and before, is enveloped in a crisis where people's homes are raided in Hammadan due to their religious faith. I feel blessed but spoiled, as I see the actual names and have an actual response from one of the persons who was detained. It is humbling beyond belief.

I just discovered this website a couple of days ago. Thanks for the updates and letting the people know of the cruel treatment of Baha'is in Iran.

Thank you for this update. They will be in my prayers. I am so fortunate to live in a country where I may practice my religion without persecution, although there is some discrimination I have experienced, but nothing like the life-and-death issues Iranian Bahais face.
