Two Songs from the Baha’i Youth of Iran

Iran Press Watch is pleased to publish the following two songs just released by Baha’i youth in Iran.

It is deeply gratifying to see that despite all pressures and limitations imposed on the beleaguered Baha’i community of that land and false accusations made against the Baha’i citizens of Iran, artist activities remain vibrant and give resonant voice to expressing principle aims of the Baha’i community of Iran.

One of the songs is in celebration of the Ridvan festivities, the most significant event for the Baha’is throughout the year, which marks Baha’u'llah’s declaration of his ministry.

Beautiful music. I especially enjoyed the Eyde Redvan because if is more in probably a classical Persian style. I like Western classical music (ie Bach, Beethoven, Bruckner, and Mahler….), so the classical Persian music is very different. There are probably quarter tones, half tones, and tones that don’t exist in the diatonic scale. Anyway, I wish I knew the words to the music , but the description about the MP3 files is enough. Thank you!

Please tell the Friends who provided these songs that we downloaded them and played them at our Ridvan Celebrations held in our local Baha’i Center here in the USA. We appreciated them with all of our heart, especially the beautiful chant.

Thank you so much, we have many new Baha’is here who are in love with the music of Iran!!
