- Threat Against Students and Faculty of BIHE

Iran Press Watch has received through the kindness of faculties of the Baha’i Institute for High Education (BIHE - http://www.bihe.org/) a copy of an email sent to a number students and others associated with BIHE. Iran Press Watch was asked to share this document for the benefit of international media, governmental institutions and human rights activists. It is also alarming that a threat against the group of Yaran, former leaders of the Baha’i community of Iran, is stated in this document. A translation by Iran Press Watch follows:With peace upon all of you followers of the wayward Baha’i sect, who are affiliated with the illegal and immoral BIHE University:
Following the teachings of Muhammadan Islam, the Unknown Soldiers of the Imam Zaman [Lord of the Age] have learned of unlawful and unethical activities of this outwardly-seeming university, which has direct association with foreign governments, including the Zionist [regime] and England. Should students, professors and officials of this so-called university wish to preserve their own safety, they must sever their association, whatever it may be, with this university. Otherwise, possible consequences of this association will fall upon yourselves, and you will have to expect the revolutionary hanging of a group affiliated with this university and that of your dear Yaran [friends] presently incarcerated.
Peace and blessings be upon the spirits of Islamic Revolution martyrs,
Unknown soldiers of the Imam Zaman
Iran Press Watch has previously published a number of statements by the group known as Unknown Soldiers of Imam Zaman, which appears to be an underground movement organized to attack and harass the Baha’is of Iran.

The evil man does in the name of God is just amazing. Fundamentalists of any religion are the source of the disunity in the world working hand in hand with greed, power and control. Second guessing what God wants and imposing it on others whether by being annoyingly insistent or by threatening torture and death is the actual evil which fanatics perpetrate rather than eliminate. When will it end? I’m so tired of it. The history of our country is so shameful as is the history of the rest of the world. I swear the world is still turning because of all the other people who are just living their lives and doing good to the all around them. It’s hard to see how the world can one day be unified, but I hold fast to that possibility though I’ll never see it. Sometimes I just want the world to go away. Thank God for the next world where we will be unshackled by time. place and desire. God bless all on earth suffering needlessly by the hands of the oppressors.

I have received the same email about one week ago! I think it is not new news for Baha’i students in Iran. Baha’is are always threatened in different ways. They just change their methods!

“Unknown Soldiers” – i.e. cowards who wish to remain anonymous as they’re fully aware that they’re breaking international human rights laws

The gulf between the black turban and white turban is so wide that scapegoating Baha’is won’t bridge it anymore. Their pillars are so washed away by the videos of their attrocities forever made available on Youtube that adding more to it won’t make worse appear as good. They need to come up with something better. Like Aya Khamenei migrating to Switzerland for his cancer treatment while the Swiss still have the offer on the table.

Ali you are so right. I have never seen a government so out of touch with it’s peoples. After seeing the big uprising recently in Iran & being a Baha’i for years, i am just coming to terms of how many Iranians in Iran must feel. I couldn’t imagine living in a society where i feel like I’m being watched and analyzed everyday. It’s like living everyday of your life walking on glass!
I say hooray for the videos I’ve seen on Youtube. Technology has proved that life in other countries can no longer be a secret. We are all connected now in more ways than one. And we see when someone else hurting in the world we hurt too. Surely justice will come to all who suffer in the world because collectively as humans we will not allow atrocities like those in Iran to happen in the long run.

This is why they have tainted the name of Islam and given it a bad rap. Was it not you that deprived the Baha’i youth of education?

If the underground group making these threats were the righteous “soldiers of the Lord of the Age,” they would not hide themselves in anonimity.
The true soldiers of the Iman Zaman lie in Evin Prison, eagerly embracing every trial set before them and cheerfully accepting each threat . . . This is the repeated story of the Baha’is of Iran! Never have they offered anything but peace and conciliation to their countrymen unlike these “unknown” purveyors of threat who send such cowardly emails.
