Baha'i sentenced to three years in prison

(Harana News) A Baha’i has been convicted of the charge of propaganda against the regime and of teaching the Baha’i Faith, and has been sentenced to three years in prison.

As reported by the Baha’i Committee for Human Rights in Iran, the Revolutionary Court of Semnan handed down its verdict against a Baha’i from Semnan, by the name of Siamak Iqani. Mr Iqani had been charged with propaganda against the regime and with teaching the Baha’i religion; he has now been sentenced to three years of imprisonment. At the request of the defendant, the case has been sent to the Provincial Court of Appeals for review.
