I have read the article about the remembrances of Mr. Suhrab Habibi of the questions and answers in the Hamadan court procedings. It gives me great pain to read the clear evidences of inhumane torture on the bodies of the Baha'is of Hamadan, treatment which no civilized government in the world would allow. Mr. Habibi obviously gives clear and accurate answers yet he is asked questions which that court already has made up its own mind with differing opinions of their own. They don't appear to ask the Baha'is for the truth because their answers make no difference to the court and the latter's behavior proves this. The court acts not as if seeking with an unbiased and open mind exactly who and what the Baha'is are and how they govern themselves. The accusation that Baha'is support espionage for Israel is again just sheer baseless lies.
These 7 Baha'is were tortured and murdered yet they were truly innocent of any of the charges of the court. That court doesn't appear to seek the truth, only repeat baseless lies created deliberately to make the Baha'is appear as spies so these men were executed for charges that the Iranian government could not prove. What a terrible thing to be happening in this 21st century. When innocent men are treated so horribly for baseless charges that never were proved, these tactics are clearly medieval and this government does not act in accord with international law and standards of justice which distinguish all other 21st century governments who abide by their own human rights freedoms. Muhammad wrote "Let there be no compulsion in religion" yet the Islamic courts of Iran conveniently ignore their own Holy Book and its teachings. Yet Baha'is all over the world hold Muhammad in the highest regard and view Him as an authentic divinely ordained Messenger of God, ONLY because Baha'u'llah said that His followers must honor Muhammad. I'm an American Indian with a Christian reigious background and when I accepted Baha'u'llah and became a Baha'i, I joyfully also (in the process) for the first time in my whole life, began to view Muhammad as an authentic Messenger of God. Only a divine Messenger of God (Baha'u'llah) has the power to exert such a miraculous change of heart, such as I'm describing about my own experience.
I pray that the Iranians stop their lies about the Baha'is and I pray for all those souls of the people who shed innocent blood of the Baha'is in Iran. I pray that justice will some day soon, become the way Iranians deal with Baha'is.
